Working the Industry's Appetite for Knowledge

Renowned the world over as a pioneering Business to Business magazine across the MENA region to serve the Healthcare, Laboratory, Pharmaceutical and Nutrition sectors, the Arab Health World (AHW) magazine, published by Chatila Publishing House (CPH), started in 1986 as Arab Health (AH) and was suspended early in 1994 due to the Lebanese civil war aftermath. AHW got back on its feet in 2006 with the May-June issue.
AHW is kicked off with the Opening Letter, the area where the editor-in-chief inks his timely commentaries, thoughts and impressions to paper. The Open Forum shifts gear as the platform for AHW readers to relay ideas, opinions, and suggestions. The System Focus section targets a certain organ/system in the human body covering all aspects of its morpho-anatomy including treatment of related disorders. The main focus of each issue is branded the Feature section: A melting pot of technical articles on current practices and advancements, case studies, and technologies without failing to mention what goes against the current. Market trends, major projects, and new products that are making the headlines take to the fore in the Industry Spotlights section, thereby offering innovative solutions for the different sectors. The issue always carries Country/Regional Reports detailing the healthcare products and equipment status in term of supply and demand as well as healthcare facility management policies and tried-and-tested solutions; these present a company’s ticket to strike deals in the country when the clock chimes “opportunity”. The Departments section is a miscellaneous area where recent industry publications are highlighted under Industry Literature; interviews with decision-makers and specialized professionals as well as corporate profiles under Interviews & profiles; company activities and accomplishments under Corporate Happenings; product developments and services under Products and Services; large-scale projects under Projects and Developments; latest software and IT news under E-news; new medications and pharmaceutical potions under Drugs & Pharmaceuticals; and nutritional formulas and natural curing methods under Nutrition & Natural Healing. Events are granted ample room in the back stern, ostensibly with the pre-show reviews and post-show reports.
The magazine also provides the following services: Industry Contacts listings where companies’ details are displayed shortening distances between manufacturers and distributors. Coming Events offers a comprehensive listing of health related events, conferences, seminars and workshops. The Buyers’ Guide presents a 9cm x 6cm classified ad including the advertiser’s logo, a brief message and the product’s photo. |
